History and uses: Gold

known to humans. In its natural form it is very pure, and
easy to form. It is very easy to work with, unlike
other metals which can be hard to shape, and may pose
some difficulty. Gold got its name from the old
English word geolo, which means yellow.
Gold can be used in the coinage of metal, Jewelry making, Decoration, Plating space satellites(it is a good IR reflector), electronics,

Gold is known world wide as
a symbol of wealth, and power. Early
civilizations associated gold with gods, power, and
wealth, and the tradition has continued into the modern
day.
