Painted an International Orange, the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most popular and well-known suspension bridges today. Its span stretches to 1,280 meters and the bridge is the 5th longest suspension bridge in the world. During construction, a safety net below the bridge saved the lives of 19 men who became known as the "Half-Way-to-Hell Club."
